The Y Tender
FAST, COMPACT, FULLY ELECTRIC
Easy to handle, easy to drive and as light and stable as possible: Our YTender is the perfect dinghy solution for our beautiful and performing sailing yachts.
GOOD DIMENSIONS
The YTender is optimised for dinghy garages. It has a low height and a compact size due to its catamaran construction.
FLEXIBLE SIZE
YYachts come in different lengths -from 22 to almost 30 metres. Accordingly, the YTender is also available in two versions: the 3.70-metre version (without tubes) weighs only 200 kilograms, the 4.50-metre version only 60 kilograms more.
SMART TUBE
The YTender’s air tube can be emptied or filled in just 45 seconds. When empty, the width of the tender is thus reduced by … centimetres, resulting in a better pack size. The necessary electric pumps are integrated into the YTender.
STABLE POSITION
Designed as a catamaran, the YTender is very stable in the water. At the same time, it can reach high speeds while consuming little energy. Hydrodynamically, it is simply very efficient underway.
SMART SOLUTIONS
You don’t always want to moor up at a comfortable jetty in the middle of the action. And there is not always one available. That’s why the YTender can retract its drive electrically so that you can also land directly on the beach.
INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT
The tender must of course match the mother ship. Colours, fabrics and surfaces of the YTender can be designed and selected entirely according to your ideas.
LOW WEIGHT
Of course, the YTender is also built from carbon. For sailing yachts like the ones YYachts builds, it is the lightest dinghy in its class. It weighs only 200 kilograms.

PURPOSEFUL LAYOUT
By placing the steering position in the front area of the YTender, the stern can be designed and used very flexibly.
WITHOUT EMISSIONS
YTenders can be equipped with a fully electric drive to meet YYachts’ sustainable mission. A good range and a short charging time characterise the set-up.
HIGH QUALITY
The YTender is built entirely in Germany, ensuring a high level of vertical integration. YYachts’ keep-it-simple philosophy also applies to it: a product must be reduced to what is necessary without restricting comfort.

The aim of the project is to produce a boat that:
A: contains the maximum proportion of renewable raw materials
B: is subject to the lowest possible consumption of CO2 during the construction phase
C: emits as little CO2 as possible during operation
In addition to the maximised use of renewable raw materials, recycled materials are used. For example, lightweight panels made from recycled PET foam (beverage bottles) will be used as the core material. All materials are produced regionally as far as possible. The technical equipment as well as the drive and deck fittings are supplied with a maximum proportion of producers from Germany and Europe.
This also applies to consumables and to ensure the energy required for production from renewable sources. Existing negative molds are reprocessed to produce the hulls and decks so that they can continue to be used in the future.
To keep CO2 emissions as low as possible during the life of the boat, the prototype is designed and equipped with an electric drive train. This will also eliminate the risk of fuel spillages and reduce noise pollution.
The goal of making a boat with a modern composite construction from renewable raw materials is an innovation. It must be checked in each area which fiber is the right one. The processes are then implemented in production and provided with new standards.
