Apprenticeship as Boat Builder (m/f/d) – Specializing in New Builds, Refits, and Conversions

About us:
We are a small, owner-managed boatyard located in the western part of Hamburg.For many years, we have combined traditional craftsmanship with modern composite technologies. Our main focus is the development and construction of
custom, tailor-made GRP components – from one-off parts to complex special assemblies. In addition, we carry out new builds, refits, as well as repair and service work on yachts made of wood and, in particular, GRP/composite
materials.
What to expect:
- A comprehensive apprenticeship as a boat builder with a focus on new builds,
refits, and conversions
- Hands-on work on boats and yachts built in composite and wood construction
- Manufacturing of custom GRP components (mould making, laminating, repair techniques,
vacuum processes)
- Insights into repairs, conversions, interior outfitting, and technical
installations
- A small, well-coordinated team that will guide you closely and integrate you
into real projects
- Excellent chances of being offered a permanent position after completing the
apprenticeship

- Interest in modern composite materials (GRP/CFK) and boatbuilding

We, Yachtwerft Hamburg GmbH, are a small, family-run company with six employees, located in Hamburg (workshop).
We offer repairs, service, and new construction in composite and wood construction in yacht building.
Your tasks:
Repairs and maintenance of composite and wood components, as well as new construction of tenders and composite parts.
Your profile:
- A completed apprenticeship as a boat builder (m/f/d) or carpenter (m/f/d)
- Motivation to work independently and in a team
